Considering how much I LOVE the period of morning that runs from dawn until everyone has to be at work, it's surprising that I spend so little of my life awake during it.
Sure, I guess it's because I don't have to go to an office, and that in the times when I did have to go the whole "morning" thing was spoiled by the whole "office" thing. But I really do love doing errands in the early AM as a town, village or city wakes up. I love seeing things turn on, people start doing their thing. It's a great time to be awake.
Today I had to head to the farmer's market bright and early to get our turkeys for Thanksgiving and I managed to stop by the local coffee place (and pick up pies) then go to a new French bakery in town (a cake) then browse the farmer's market (root veggies) and get my birds.
And now, since I only got about four hours of sleep last night, having fully appreciated that which life has given me this day, I shall take my ass back to bed.
