Attention Deficit David

I'm a traveling man, been all over the world.

I've been a bit "lights out" on this blog for a bit as I've been to RAGBRAI, the Register's Annual Great Bicycle Ride Across Iowa. I'll be posting my journal from it shortly, but in the meantime I've got pictures up on my main Flickr account and a secondary Flickr account I set up so that my main account doesn't get cluttered with the 400 images from the event.

Today I went to the doctor for the various things that have been nagging me since before and during RAGBRAI and as a result I ended up today with a Tetanus shot (thanks to a scrape on my arm while on the event), Cipro and a decongestant (thanks to a lingering sinus infection) and a new cold-sore medicine (thanks to the giant-ass blister I got from sunburning the hell out of my lip). I feel, as a result, as if I had been punched in the arm, then clocked over the head with a mallet. One should not have this much medication in them.

Now I shall go and fall into an 9 hour coma and then hopefully get up and start this again,

Funny, in a not funny funny sort of way

So I've spent the better part of two days screwing with the Dell in my office (what the hell do I have a Dell for? PDN bought it for me so I could do product testing) trying to get this XP piece of garbage to even work with my GPS. (Every time I went to install the driver, it launched a program I threw out months ago, even after clearing the registry a dozen times and throwing out the temp files.)

Took about 8 total hours of work, just to get it to do a basic function.

Meanwhile, my wife is sitting at my G5 with a copy of Aperture, a program she's never used before, and she's laying out pages for her brother's wedding album, with very few issues. Two sides of the office, one person cursing and yelling, the other one unleashing their creative potential.

Ha fuckety ha ha.

Sorry for the lousy image quality, this was shot with the video camera built into my MacBook. For obvious reasons I couldn't get up to get my camera. Not only is Soze curled up on my leg, but he's snoring like mad. It's terribly cute.
